Axel Chevroulet

Together with Anna MacIver-Ek, Axel Chevroulet leads a practice between Zurich, Neuchâtel and Lausanne. Their built work questions conventional constructive methods, looking for ways to reduce the amount of matter needed, explore the potential of re-use and achieve an architecture that welcomes its environment rather than being secluded from it. In their search for alternative forms of practice, they co-founded the collective la–clique which investigates horizontal hierarchies and the use of group intelligence. In 2021, MacIver-Ek Chevroulet was awarded the Swiss Art Award for Architecture. MacIver-Ek Chevroulet are Visiting Professors at TU Munich 2024-2025
